After nearly three years and three design incarnations, 2025 was the summer of ShopRite in Wilmington, Delaware. This was commissioned by ShopRite, with contributions made from the city of Wilmington, as a major beautification project in the once industrial, southern portion of the city. This work now serves as a gateway visual for residents and visitors alike, but the imagery is exclusively a nod to urban joy: summer barbecues, children playing, multicultural festivals, youth sports, and of course, music. This effort arrives just in time for the 30th anniversary of this Delaware family-owned grocer, started by Bernie Kenny thirty years ago.
